How to use this tool
Type your network name and the WiFi password your router is actually using, then click "Create QR Code". The QR code will only work to join the network once the password you entered here matches what your router is actually using β this tool doesn't change your router's settings for you. Need a new password first? Use this site's password generator, then set it on your router before coming back here.
Does scanning this QR code automatically connect me to the WiFi network?
Only if the password you entered here is the same password your router is actually using. This tool doesn't change any router settings β it just encodes whatever network name and password you type into a scannable format.
Is my WiFi password uploaded anywhere?
No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser using the open-source qrcode library. Nothing you type is ever sent to a server.
Can I track who scans this QR code?
No, and this tool intentionally doesn't offer that. Scan tracking requires routing the QR code through a server, which would mean your WiFi password passes through that server too β that's the opposite of how this tool is built.
Why isn't there a separate option for WPA3?
The WiFi QR code format doesn't distinguish between WPA, WPA2, and WPA3 β your phone and router negotiate the actual protocol version themselves during the connection. Selecting "WPA/WPA2/WPA3" covers all of them.
